A flow state is defined as a state of optimal experience where concentration reaches such levels we experience no sense of time passing and no distractions, only real pleasure of being able to succeed in the game, whatever it be (read Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, psychologist).
We feel totally in the moment...in the second we may say.
This picture well explains that fine line (very personal indeed) where skills and challenges find
an equilibrium. Our consciousness gets enriched by such situations, gets more orderly, gets a sense of purpose.
But shouldn't life be about experiencing such states more often? Shouldn't we be moving from "have to's" to "want to's" on a regular basis?
That's what coaching does: helping people choose what they want, what puts them in a flow state. Coaching gives order to people's consciousness bridging their past history and beliefs into the present: a present with a new sense of purpose, more flow, more Me.
